Our modern age Bollywood divas have definitely shown that careers don’t stop after marriage, right? The past few years have been revolutionary for women in the Bollywood film industry and that is for the women at all stages of their own personal lives. For example, let's take Kareena Kapoor Khan who not only blossomed in her career after marriage but as well after becoming a mother she continued to succeed in her career with her beautiful family life – Bebo is inspiring not only with her booming career and adorable family but her flawless evergreen beauty.
We are guaranteed to see a bride and a wedding scene in any Bollywood film we watch but there is nothing like seeing the real life wedding of Bollywood actresses right? And it was when I saw these two real life Bollywood brides that I straight away fell in love with their personal choice for their bridal look; and the two actresses are Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma.
1. Deepika Padukone
The elegant, graceful, unstoppable Deepika Padukone became the first woman to enter the top five in the annual Forbes list of the highest-earning celebrities in India – there really isn’t anyone like her! Deepika and Ranveer (#DeepVeer) had their two-day marriage in the stunning Lake Como (Italy) and on 14th November 2018 was their Konkani wedding ceremony and on 15th November 2028 was their Anand Karaj ceremony. Deepika looked absolutely jaw-dropping in her stunning red and gold lehenga designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee for on their Anand Karaj ceremony paired with Polki jewellery. And then her elegant Konkani traditional look in a beautiful Kanjivaram silk saree paired with gold and bronze temple jewellery. Putting aside being Deepika’s biggest fan, I think for me alongside her jaw-dropping alter, it was her one-in-a-million smile and ooze of happiness that added to her unforgettable bridal glow.
2. Anushka Sharma
The natural, energetic and talented Anushka Sharma is not only an actress but also a film producer in the Bollywood industry who has received many awards and one of those being a Filmfare Award. Anuskha and Virat (#Virushka) had their wedding ceremony in Tuscany (Italy) on 11th December 2017. The beauty of their wedding was that it was surrounded by their close family and friends only, making it an intimate wedding ceremony. Anushka wore a classic floral pink lehenga designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The lehenga had floral embroidery with crystal pearl detailed embellishments all over the lehenga design, paired with beautiful Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery of pink and gold toned statement pieces all completed with her stunning natural make-up with the simple pink blush and nude lip.
Looking at both their bridal looks even though they both had a different colour theme, especially with their lehenga colour as well as different jewellery designs, they both nevertheless in my eyes had the most beautiful memorable Bollywood bridal glows. And no matter how much you rely on your outfit, jewellery or make-up to create that bridal glow, I personally believe that the only thing that will give any bride that bridal glow is when they are genuinely content in that moment and enjoying their special day to the max.
